HOW ALARM MONITORING WORKS
No two properties are the same. That’s why we offer a broad range of alarm monitoring services tailored to your home and business needs. When an alarm is activated, it sends a signal direct to experts at our partner Alarm Receiving Centres (ARC’s). To save you the hassle of unwanted call outs, we use top-of-the-range filtering systems to identify false alarms, whilst ensuring genuine emergencies are dealt with as quickly as possible.
Monitored alarms use a special piece of hardware that is connected to your alarm system, using a telephone line, mobile GSM Network or in some instances, both.
This device then allows the alarm system to securely communicate with your Alarm Receiving Centre, sending regular secure signals, reporting the system state.
In the event of an alarm activation the alarm system will transmit the information to the ARC where they will respond accordingly.
KEY HOLDER RESPONSE
The Alarm Receiving Centre will react to any signals sent from your alarm system within seconds, your nominated key holders will be contacted instantly who will then be asked to take responsibility for the alarm activation. In the event of an activation, the key holder will be advised of the situation by a dedicated operator.
POLICE RESPONSE
Police Response is more common in commercial properties however in some instances it is a requirement set by insurers. Police Response works in much the same way as Key Holder Response, however if the Alarm Receiving Centre receives an activation from your system, the operator will make contact with the police and request immediate response.

Digital Communicator by Halifax Security
When your alarm is triggered the Alarm Receiving Centre receives notification via your landline.
Digi Air by Halifax Security
A DigiAir sends a signal from the protected premises to the Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) via a WorldSIM. This multi-network SIM card can utilise any mobile phone network, offering the best guarantee of radio coverage anywhere in the UK. This offers maximum, reliable performance from its radio path.
Dualcom GPRS by Halifax Security
Like a digital communicator your alarm system is connected to an ARC via your phone line. Dualcom however, continuously polls the monitoring station to check that the phone line and connection is secure, reporting within seconds should there be any interruption to the service. Dualcom also encompasses dual path signalling, it monitors your alarm on your telephone line plus via a mobile phone network. The ARC will respond to signals from both sources and should either path fail there will always be a connection.
Redcare GSM by Halifax Security
